How the TMJ Oxford journey began….
I have worked in the health and well being industry for over 20 years, over this time I have encountered lots of injuries, pain problems and issues. It became apparent to me a few years ago that the jaw is a overlooked area of the body, but holds a great deal of tension and is a source of pain for many people. After talking to clients who suffer with TMJ problems I realised that options to treat this were not widely available or known about. The most common treatments can be extreme and expensive so was keen to develop another option for people seeking a alternative holistic treatment. Myself and Audri are committed to helping people feel pain free and move with ease, so if you would like more details please get in contact.
I have written a little more about myself and Audri’s background below.
Lynn Hall – Founder
I have always had a keen interest in human anatomy, physiology and complementary therapy, training as an ITEC holistic massage therapist 17 years ago. Since then I have gone on to working in the sports industry as a Dance, Pilates and Fitness instructor so am very aware of how important it is to have regular bodywork to keep your body in peak condition and injury free.
I studied at the world-renowned Jing Institute in Brighton completing the Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy Certificate, as well as the Hot Stone Fusion qualification. These courses have given me new knowledge and techniques allowing me to successfully treat a wide range of chronic pain conditions as well as providing a relaxing treatment.
Further to my advanced course, I have also undertaken courses outside of Jing to expand my expertise; these include Dry Needling (Bernard Nolan Acupuncture Courses), Kinesiology Taping (Rock Tape/John Gibbons). These have complimented my treatments greatly and have allowed me more scope to help treat pain and movement issues.
